John Benton “Murph” Felty, a horticulturist and WWII Bronze Star veteran, started Pisgah Pest Control in Brevard in 1967. In 1988 his daughter Anne Felty and Sam Edney took it over, and it’s grown to five local teams across the mountains.
The way we work hasn’t changed much: show up when we say, explain what we’re doing, use knowledge before chemicals, and treat your house like it’s next door to ours, because it probably is.

How much does pest control cost in Western NC?
HomeSafe Basic is $38 a month, billed $114 quarterly, for homes up to 5,000 sq ft. HomeSafe Plus adds Sentricon® termite monitoring for $65 a month, and HomeSafe Premium, with monthly visits plus mosquito and carpenter bee control, is $154 a month. Larger homes, call for pricing.
What if pests come back between visits?
Call us. If covered pests on your plan show up between scheduled services, we come back and re-treat at no charge.
Why a quarterly plan instead of a one-time treatment?
A one-time treatment handles what you see today, but it fades. A quarterly visit keeps a protective barrier around your foundation through every season and catches new activity before it turns into an infestation.
How does Sentricon® termite protection work?
We install bait stations in the soil around your home for a one-time fee. Termites carry the bait back and it eliminates the colony, including the queen. HomeSafe Plus then covers all monitoring, baiting and station maintenance.
